Jack Derricourt is a writer living in Toronto. By day, he is the managing editor of Digital Journal and by night he wrestles with novel drafts and scrap paper masterpieces galore. He obsesses about the Blue Jays, rock and roll music, and French novelists — but not in that order.
He received his English Honours degree from the University of Victoria in November, 2011, as well as the Martlet Chapter award for finest English Honours graduating essay. During his degree he helped found the Warren Undergraduate Review, and held the position of Director of Volunteers and Community Outreach. He has also contributed to The Martlet and The Village Vibe as a volunteer journalist.
Unlike the French poet and essayist Gerard de Nerval, he does not own a pet lobster.
